As we move into October, we have had the beginning of the fourth and final school term of the year. This a bit frightening, to think that Christmas is just over two months away. The school term commenced with two teachers and our secretary extending the school holidays by adding some long service leave, to allow them to have time overseas.
The children in Year 3 have commenced the extra preparation time for the Sacrament of Reconciliation in late November. We presented these children to the parish over two weekends.
The Priests Retirement Foundation also had the AGM in the Mercy Centre at the school. The priests from across the diocese were welcomed with a beautiful morning tea, then we gathered for our meeting with many helpful presentations on the running of the Foundation and the financial position of the fund.
This was followed by a lovely two-course dinner at the Gallery Café. Neville, Kerryn and staff treated us to another beautiful meal. Another reason why we have the AGM in Tatura each year.
