A lovely story out of our parish recently! A parishioner was at an 80th birthday celebration – this parishioner is well known for his singing and Irish recitals.
So near the end of the formalities he was asked to give a recital. This was well received by all but not to let the occasion or the opportunity pass by, a young child said he had one too!
So he pulled out a chair which he stood upon and then made the Sign of the Cross and then a beautiful and prayerful recital of the Our Father!
This would have been a lovely way to end what would have been a wonderful occasion and very proud moment for the parents of the child.
