Last weekend we celebrated Father’s Day at both our Masses. We had hand-out blessing cards for all Dads, these cards were nicely laminated by the school children.
But apart from this, it was also the launch of a program we have been advertising for some months – The Loud Fence. After each Mass parishioners were encouraged to take a coloured ribbon and tie it on the fence in front of the church.
This coincided with National Child Protection Week which runs from 3rd – 10th September.
Sunday 10th September being Child Protection Day.
We will leave the ribbons on the fence for all of September showing support for survivors of child sexual abuse.
